Problem:
A northern Illinois based casino gaming manufacturer needed a solution for their new design concept featuring a 55" interactive display panel. each unit included multi-pivot arms that needed to lower the screen in a slow movement, and the screen needed to be removable. The 100lb screen required 2 service people to not only prevent it from slamming down when unlatched, but also to push the panel back up to the locked position. This would definitely be a safety concern when servicing the units in the field.
Solution:
A combination of stock IGS gas springs and dampers provided a safe solution. The IGS technical sales team arrived at the final product using their expertise, training, and proprietary design assistance software, even providing valuable information upfront--such as the actual hand forces required to operate the panel.
Result:
The customer saved valuable time designing and engineering a safe solution with standard stock items. IGS earned the trust and repeat business of this customer. The units can be serviced in the field easily and safely with one service person. The display panels are secured and operate as required. This company is now designing its next-generation product around our original design using IGS products.
