Damped gas springs are compression gas springs with an integrated damping element, providing both Load Support and Motion Control.
Damping design requirements range from “as little as possible” to “maximum achievable” This can be broken down into the following basic features:
- Zero damping, very low friction
- General lubrication damping
- Specific extension damping
- Specific compression damping
- Fully damped
All the above features result from IGS selecting the required combination of oil volume, oil viscosity, piston orifice, and force to suit your application.
