We have an exciting and challenging career opportunity for an experienced and accomplished Technical Sales Engineer, whom will play an integral role in commercially driving, in collaboration with wider business functions such as Engineering and Quality, our sales proposition to both new and existing customers. The successful candidate will have exceptional customer skills and be an influential networker with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders both locally and globally. They will be meticulous, target driven, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding their sales targets. Core Responsibilities: 

  • Account management of new & existing customers aiming to build long term client relationships
  • Creation of quotations and support documentation, either working alone or as part of a team effort, to promote equipment sales
  • Research and identify new markets and customers that correspond with our product solutions to meet aggressive sales objectives.
  • Commercially sourcing, identification and development of potential new customers in collaboration with Senior Sales Manager
  • Assessment & selection of potential technical solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Review of drawings, technical specifications, third party equipment integration requirements & material product data
  • Executing the growth of sales within a competitive marketplace within allocated sales territory
  • Conversion of successful quotations into successful orders
  • Monitoring and tracking of proposals
  • Responsibility for the coordination of new product development and sales of products in collaboration with the Engineering/Marketing (commercial function) within our business
  • Communicate effectively with our Engineering team to understand technical specification requirements

Qualifications: 

The candidate must demonstrate:

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce system
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to work in conjunction with multiple stakeholders both locally and internationally
  • The ability to manage customers and grow sales in a competitive marketplace
  • The ability to complete the sale
  • An excellent understanding and evaluating customer needs
  • The capability to conduct field-based product demonstrations / application reviews
  • Ability to develop strategies to achieve goals

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • 5 years’ minimum sales experience into automotive, aerospace, or industrial markets
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in demonstrable YoY growth with customers
  • Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (Engineering preferred)
